Your Milk Substitute

My stomach has a hard time digesting dairy, and not to mention, the sugar content in milk is too high for someone on a low calorie eating plan. I turn to nut-based milk substitutes, which work perfect for my Steel Oats or smoothies.

Plain-ol’ milk has a surprising high level of Sugar grams:
8 fl oz. of 1% Milk contains 12g of Sugar

I do not want to discount the nutritional value of milk, but for a professional dancer like me, I’d rather skip on the sugar where I can. I drink “Pacific Organic Unsweetened Original Almond Milk”. It doesn’t taste quite as smooth as normal milk, but you can’t beat the calorie content of it.

I’ve said goodbye to regular milk for good; thank you for turning me onto almond milk! I have been missing out! I love the vanilla flavor in my coffee, yum.
