Where do I begin?
After spending 1 month in Thailand with this special group of people, it’s hard to sum it up in a few words.
This training was magical, transformative, and expansive.
Beyond the physical training, I grew as a human being, coming out of the training more self-assured, positive, inspired, loving, and excited for what life has to offer.
I admit, I was scared walking into orientation that first day. Like really scared. I was halfway across the world, I had just traveled alone for 30 hours, I didn’t know a single person, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. My timid brain first assumed that I wouldn’t be able to make connections with anyone. All of my self-defense weapons came up, and I wasn’t sure why I signed up for this.
During the orientation they made us play a game to break the ice where we danced, and when the music stoped you had to talk to whoever you were looking at (omg… eye contact? silly games? what am I doing here??), and even though I’m a dancer I suddenly forgot how to dance. I was so awkward walking around trying to not be seen. Then we sat down and all sang a song (I’m thinking, I flew halfway across the world to sing? I’m here to learn how to teach yoga and do handstands!) After that there was a dinner, and I was so tired from traveling that I went straight to bed and skipped it.
I was hesitant the first couple of days, counting down the days until I’m home again, when all of a sudden I found myself laughing more than ever with new friends, looking forward to the next lecture, singing really loud during our chanting session, getting really (really!) into the games, and loving every second of it.
They broke down my walls, and I let myself be seen. We shared laughs, tears, tired days, sunrises, sunsets, and milestones.

When I look back at everything we learned during the training – it was A LOT. We learned yoga adjustments, yoga philosophy (which was amazing!! the teacher Mathieu was interactive and fun and really made all of these esoteric type of subjects very relatable and practical, and gave us tools on how to use them in your classes), acro yoga, anatomy with my good friend @DocJenFit, branding with @jake paul white, photography with the other ACTION on instagram @actionhiro :), sequencing, how to teach workshops, the business of being a yoga teacher, pranayama (breathing therapy), and of course I learned to be a student again, and completely advanced my personal practice.
Everything promised on their website Beyond Bryce TT was delivered, 110%. Each of the instructors poured themselves into the training. Their passions for their topic was so clear and inspiring, and they drove us to show up, be present, learn, and grow each day.
The days were long, and sometimes tough. Being in the same room, with the same group of people, 12.5 hour days, for 22 days, was intense. I was tried most of the time, but I knew it was such a unique and special experience that I couldn’t give into my fatigue. I kept reminding myself that I’ll sleep on the plane ride home and when I get home!
Now that I’m home, I’m missing everyone. I made new friends, created new good habits, and was touched by beautiful souls.
I am so grateful to have had this opportunity, and I encourage you to take an adventure for yourself. Check out their teacher trainings below, and see if one will work for you!
