Family days are so important to me. Growing up I didn’t understand the significance and value of having a close family. Immaturely I would interpret my parents’ love as overbearing. But now as a young adult I couldn’t thank my parents enough for the care and support they’ve shown me my whole life. My sisters and I look out for each other too because we know only one rule – family first. Sounds like a mafia coined term, but then again that’s probably why they call us the UMOFIA!
Easter wouldn’t be complete without an easter egg hunt! I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I STILL partake in an Easter Egg Hunt put on by my parents. I look forward to it every year – as my mom and dad always come up with new ways of making it better. To all the nay-sayers out there – there’s nothing wrong with having fun with each other. And it’s great exercise! Sprinting from one end of the backyard to the other when one of my parent’s yells out a clue about the blood orange tree having something shiny in it – I sprint across the lawn as fast as I can!! Hope you all had a nice Easter too!
