There are many reasons one may turn to being Paleo. Maybe you’re looking to improve your eating habits, maybe you want an excuse to eat red meat everyday, maybe you just gave it a 30-day shot, or maybe you just want to fit in! Whatever the reason it may be, it can only do more good than harm. Paleo is not about eating meat 3 times a day. In fact, it’s about eating very high quality meat moderately. A good Paleo plan contains a LOT of vegetables, a good amount of fat, and a moderate amount of meat. For me, becoming Paleo really increased the amount of vegetables I ate, and actually decreased the amount of processed meats I ate.
The Paleo diet, for me, has become a lifestyle change. It’s about nourishing my body with real food that is grown from the earth and raised as nutre intended. It’s not manufactured, stripped, processed, fortified, skimmed, or altered in any way. It’s even about unplugging from your computer and iphone every now and then to get grounded and give your body and brain a rest from technology overload. The complete lifestyle includes getting sleep, soaking up the sun, exercising for fun, spending time with friends and family face-to-face, and giving yourself the chance to thrive by feeding it the best and most natural, nourishing food you possibly can.
