In the produce aisle! Duh!
It’s not a secret that fresh, healthy cooking = lean bodies. Make a conscious effort to shop on the perimeters of the grocery store. Items on the inside of the store probably contain a high content of sodium and preservatives and carbohydrates.
I’ve increase my Trader Joe’s trips from twice a month, to twice a week!!! It takes up more time, YES, I agree, BUT I’m eating fresh and I’m fueling my body with NUTRIENTS, not CRAP!! (even though that crap tastes good sometimes, I sadly admit)
Check out your local farmer’s markets, or head to the store. Buy fresh items like fruit, cucumbers, zucchini, spaghetti squash, salmon, skinless chicken breast, etc., and try adding them into your omelet, or smoothies, or dinner salad.
Enjoy being green! Let me know if you discover any new perimeter items that you fall in love with 🙂
