Ever heard the saying,
“Slow down to power up.”
Before you *eye roll* at that idea let me explain why you NEED to implement this into your workout routine.
Intense workouts are, well, intense on our bodies.
One of the most overlooked elements of an effective workout regimen is STRETCHING!
This is something I see so many people overlook and skip. That is why my app is called, Stretchy Fit. You get the best of both worlds. Stretching AND fitness.
Not only do you have a full library of fat burning workouts like pilates, barre, HIIT, dance cardio, AMRAP. You also have an entire selection of yoga classes like yoga sculpt, yoga inversions, restorative, and more!
Everything you need in one place.
Think of it this way:
When you don’t take time to rest and allow your body to recover it’s like trying to drive on an empty tank of gas. You have less power, things start not working right, & eventually you run out of juice. While our bodies are resilient and can recover, they are not indestructible and need to be cared for. Continually doing this to your body will, over time, wear on you and lead to long term damage.
Here’s just a few of the many benefits of stretching:
- Relieves tension & tightness in your body
- Reduces stress & anxiety
- Decreases post-exercise muscle soreness & stiffness
- Builds flexibility & mobility
- Improves posture
- Prevents Injury
Have I convinced you yet?
You don’t have to spend extended amounts of time stretching, but I challenge you to take 5-10 minutes after each workout to stretch out AND designate one recovery day each week where you spend 20-30 minutes just focused on stretching and relaxing.
I have an entire restorative category inside my Stretchy Fit app with classes to follow-along with.

I promise, you have time to stretch. Stop delaying your progress by pushing without pause. Slow down & watch how your progress speeds up.
